About us
The Takoma Mandoleers is a non-profit mandolin and guitar orchestra based in Arlington, Virginia. Founded in 1923 in Takoma Park, Maryland, we are the longest continuously operating mandolin orchestra in the United States. Our mission is to enrich lives through joyful and musically diverse experiences, featuring the mandolin family, guitar, and bass.
Our repertoire reflects the rich versatility of the mandolin and guitar, ranging from classical and semi-classical works to jazz, folk, and contemporary pieces. We embrace both traditional and modern styles, offering audiences, of all sizes, a diverse and engaging musical experience.

The Mandoleers are looking for musicians to join us. We play a variety of music genres, from classical and semi-classical to jazz, contemporary and a wide range of folks from around the world.
Rehearsal Details: There is no requirement to audition. Reading music is helpful, but if you don't read music, bring a recording device.
We rehearse (almost) every Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at:
