Death Note & Goodbye, Eri (August)

Details
For our August Meetup (on August 31 at 2:00), we'll be taking a look at the manga/anime classic Death Note, written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obat. We'll be reading up to at least chapter 58, where a pivotal point in the story occurs (but anyone is welcome to read past it as well, since it's only 108 chapters in total!). Or, just watching the anime is also totally valid as well!
We'll be also discussing the amazing oneshot story by Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto, Goodbye, Eri. As a oneshot, it's a single self-contained story that's only one volume long, so it's a story you can get through quick and easily, but it packs quite a lot to talk to about! A strong recommendation from me to read.

Links to Read Online (click with caution, these are just whatever sites I could find that seem to at least have the manga available to be read. proceed at your own risk):
Death Note
- [death-note-manga.com](https://w11.death-note-manga.com/) (prepare for random ads popping up into new tabs)
- deathnote-manga.online (no immediate seeming issues, but still be a bit cautious)
- Internet Archive - Death Note Collection (no seeming immediate issues. Personally I think it's the best option to read the manga online)
- It also has the entire anime as well for those that would prefer to watch - Death Note Anime
Goodbye, Eri
- [Goodbye-Eri.com](https://goodbye-eri.com/) (prepare for random ads popping up into new tabs)
---
We also just casually talk manga and anime as well in the meeting, whether what manga we read or anime we watched recently, to just general Anime/Manga topics! Anything is welcome.
Location will be at the Calgary Central Library, at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Room booking will be determined at a later date, and posted in the comments section below.
For those that want us to read something for September, bring in a manga you would like to propose for the for the group to try out!
