🏃‍♀️🏃🏽Mindful Movement: Morning Run Club by Manhattan Mindfulness Meditation Group

We all know exercise is better with friends. Do you love mindfulness & running? Just getting back in shape? Looking to start a new hobby? All levels are welcome! Bring your shoes, your friends, and let's get some mindful movement.

What is Mindful Running?
This run club focuses on implementing the teachings of mindfulness into our exercise. That doesn't mean boring, no music, or no effort!
It means keeping a strong inner awareness of:

  • The Breath
  • The Body & Form
  • Appropriate Effort

By doing this, we move through our run strongly, efficiently, and with respect towards our bodies—no matter what stage they are in.

The Logistics (Please Be On Time!)
We will meet at 104th & Riverside.
We know mornings are tight, so please be EARLY/ON TIME to respect everyone's schedule!

  • 7:40 AM: Meetup and a brief Mindfulness Check-In
  • 7:45 AM: Break into running groups and start the movement!

Group Levels
Depending on group size, we will break into groups led by assigned captains:

  • Beginner: For new runners, walkers, or those getting back into shape.
  • Intermediate: Steady, moderate pace runs.
  • Advanced: Faster pace and/or longer distances.

  • DISCLAIMER: I am not a run coach or personal trainer, just a mindfulness teacher who likes to exercise. Please ensure you are fit to run.
  • Running Captains: If you would be excited to lead one of the pace groups, please reach out!
