Free / donation based / low cost training open to the public. All styles of striking and grappling are touched upon and welcomed, train at your own pace. everyone 18 +yr older

The Manhattan Martial Arts Network is a conglomerate of different martial arts groups around New York City. There are different meetups during the week, each with their own focus. Now and then we also hold additional meetups for picnics, to go to check out other meetups, go dancing, to the beach, hiking, etc.

This group is for nice people who have an interest and/or experience in martial arts. If you are a beginner or new to martial arts then congratulations, you have found the best value you will ever find when it comes to martial arts in the city. With 20+ years of martial arts experience, and 10 years running the group, we have cultivated the spirit of a dojo. In Manhattan Martial Arts we learn, have fun, make friends, challenge ourselves, and each other.
If you are already experienced then also congratulations, you have found a martial arts playground, an oasis compared to the ego-filled schools one often finds when trying to widen our individual martial art's perspective. Come sharpen your skills, try out other styles, learn new techniques, and meet likeminded individuals!

This group started as a Muay Thai training group and then became the friendly neighborhood fight club. After many years it evolved into a school of the people by the people, where training was the focus instead of fighting (we had sparring sessions instead :P). As of 2024, M.M.A. has furthered evolved into a network of martial arts groups in the city who share the same passion and welcoming spirit that Manhattan Martial Arts was initially founded upon.

Our members come from very varied backgrounds and thus styles, with varying levels of skill. What is uniform is the respect, control, and general comradeship that has been a key element of our meet ups!
