About us
Manhunt is an urban game, similar to tag, cops and robbers, or hide and seek.
Every Manhunt game is played within a specific area of the city, the borders of which selected at the beginning of every game. At the start, one player is selected as the Hunter, while the rest begin as Fugitives. Each time a hunter catches a fugitive, that person joins the hunter(s) in chasing the rest of the fugitives. As the game progresses, more and more fugitives become hunters, as they are caught. The game ends when either a) one fugitive remains at large; b) everyone is caught; or c) the time limit has run out. Each game takes approximately 45 minutes, though sometimes they finished as quickly as 30 minutes or last an hour.
I'm going to run this group as an experiment over the summer, if people come and enjoy themselves, we can start getting more organized and hosting games weekly across different parts of the city. For now though, I'm just looking to test this thing out, meet some new people, and have some fun!

Manhunt rules
- At the start of the game, one player is selected as the Hunter. The rest begin as Fugitives. Each time a hunter catches a fugitive, that person joins the hunter(s) in chasing the rest of the fugitives.
- Fugitives are given 120 seconds to flee before the hunter takes chase.
- Each game is played within a specific area of the city. All fugitives must remain within the boundaries at all times. If they go out of bounds by crossing the borders, they automatically become hunters. The boundaries of an area include the inside to center line of a street, but not the other side of the boundary street.
- Fugitives may not hide in a single place for more than 5 minutes at a time.
- Deception is a perfectly okay tactic. You can catch people by pretending to be a fugitive, and avoid being caught by faking hunter-dom. If you can pull it off.
- The game ends when either a) one fugitive remains at large; b) everyone is caught; or c) the time limit has run out. Each game takes approximately 45 minutes, though sometimes they finished as quickly as 30 minutes or last an hour.
