Intramuros Walking Tour - Exploring Filipino History and Identity

Join us for a unique afternoon walking through Intramuros to explore Philippine history and identity.

Event Update! Due to weather considerations, we'll start at 10 am in Plaza Roma in front of Manila Cathedral. We'll end at lunch in Mitre restaurant.

This isn’t just about walking through buildings, but uncovering the stories they tell. It’s about what these structures reveal about the layers of our identity—pre-colonial roots, Spanish and American occupation, wartime scars, and the ongoing wrestle for ourselves. So, we’ll be asking:

• What parts of the past live on in us today?
• How has the Filipino spirit continued, adapted, and changed?
• What can the built environment show us who we are?
