Honesty, courage, temperance, justice — words our grandparents lived by, but do they still carry weight in a world of algorithms, globalism, and relativistic moral lines?

This debate workshop puts the virtues on the table and asks whether they remain a meaningful guide to the good life, or whether modernity has quietly retired them. Alongside the debate itself, we'll review the critical skills that make any argument land: defining key terms with precision and responding to opposing arguments without losing your footing all to have a dynamic conversation. Expect to defend both sides, question your own assumptions, and walk away sharper in how you think and speak about ethics, and ultimately, humanity. No prior debate experience needed — just a willingness to engage.

However, we do have readings (linked below) which we highly encourage you to read as they will better prepare you for our debates.
