Software Freedom Day (SFD) is a global celebration of Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS).
WordPress Manila and Huawei Cloud Developer Group Philippines are hosting this event to bring together developers, designers, students, educators, creators, and tech enthusiasts to celebrate software freedom and the open-source community.
This year’s theme is “The Future Is Open.”
As technology continues to evolve, especially with AI becoming part of our everyday lives, we want to explore an important question:
What does an open future look like?
We’ll talk about open-source software, artificial intelligence, open knowledge, privacy, digital rights, and how we can work together to build a more open digital future.
What to Expect:
- Talks about open-source technologies
- Hands-on demos and workshops
- Discussions and community sharing
- Networking with fellow open-source enthusiasts
- Giveaways, stickers, and community merch
- A welcoming environment for all skill levels
Presentations and discussions will be a mix of English and Tagalog.

Please bring a valid government-issued ID. Building security may refuse entry without proper identification.

- No sando, slippers, or shorts are allowed on the premises.
