Thrive Venture Fund for Women-Led Businesses

Details

Join us to learn about how women-led businesses can access venture capital through BDC’s Thrive Venture Fund, the largest investment platform of its kind in the world. Michelle Scarborough, Managing Partner, Venture Capital, Women in Technology, will answer any and all questions you may have about how you can take advantage of this fund to grow your Canadian business.

Women-founded start-ups in Canada must work harder to raise the funding they need and continually do more with less when compared to similar male-led companies. Yet, data shows substantially higher revenue per investment dollar; 78 cents of revenue per investment dollar for women-led start-ups versus just 31 cents for men, according to Boston Consulting Group. All of which serves to validate the idea that diverse teams are imperative to make better business decisions and deliver stronger results.

This event is hosted by the executive of Manitoba Women in Tech Meetup and is open to ALL women entrepreneurs in Manitoba. We encourage you to join us to learn if this fund is a fit for your organization.

Note:
** You'll need to RSVP on both platforms.
