nginx Cloudflare tunnels lab

Join us for our April meetup where we'll continue to build on our container knowledge and skills.

The folks who have attended our last 3 meetups are very interested in learning more about containers and how they can be used to deploy application services.

So we're running a series of meetups where you can build a "hello world" type service. The service will be containerized services composed of:

• Web based application
• MySQL database
• nginx reverse proxy to protect the web server
• Cloudflare tunnel to protect access to the nginx proxy

Don't worry if you missed the previous meetups. If you want to get started with containers, you can follow along in the Docker Workshop. We'll be covering all of the concepts covered in the workshop, plus how to secure your containers and services.

This month we'll discuss nginx and how it can be used as an ingress controller and as a reverse proxy server, and we'll create a Cloudflare tunnel to protect access.

The meetup starts at 5:30 with socializing (food and soft drinks provided), followed by the topic presentation at 6, and lab around 6:35.
