Modeling Tools Made in Finland

Details
Our next event will be a double-feature introducing two great modeling tools provided by Finnish vendors: Ellie by Ellie Technologies inc. and MetaEdit+ by MetaCase. Both tools have their own presentations followed by Q&A. General discussion will wrap-up the evening once both tools have enjoyed their share on spotlight.
Ellie (final title TBA)
Hannu Järvi, Ellie Technologies inc.
MetaEdit+ lets you create world-class modeling tools in minutes – no coding needed
Juha-Pekka Tolvanen, CEO, MetaCase
MetaEdit+ enables companies to radically improve development productivity and quality by generating full code directly from models. This automation is possible because both the language and generators need fit the requirements of only one company and domain. First, your experienced developer designs the modeling language with MetaEdit+ Workbench and then other team members model with the language in MetaEdit+ Modeler. We demonstrate full code generation as well as language creation with practical examples.
Speakers
Juha-Pekka Tolvanen works for MetaCase. He has been involved in domain-specific languages and tools since 1991 and acted as a consultant world-wide on their use. Juha-Pekka has co-authored a book (Domain-Specific Modeling, Wiley 2008) and over 100 articles in software development magazines and conferences. Juha-Pekka holds a Ph.D. in computer science and is an adjunct professor at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
Hannu Järvi is a co-founder of Ellie Technologies and partner and consultant at Ari Hovi.
