Gong Artist: Stephanie Wood

Stephanie Wood is a sound artist, composer, and healing justice activist whose work spans ambient to noise music. Using tuned metal, DIY instruments, and field recordings, she creates immersive soundscapes focused on deep listening and collective healing. She has studied under renowned teachers and leads sound sessions incorporating ceremonial sound objects to support trauma recovery and spiritual connection. In addition to her sound art, Stephanie has orchestrated large-scale sound immersion events and taught workshops on improvisation and gong composition. Her collaborations range from experimental concerts to performances with Denver’s Itchy-O, opening for prominent acts like David Byrne and DEVO.
