Many Voices – with guest leader VAL REGAN!

Details
SUPER EXCITED (can you tell?) to announce that Val Regan is our guest leader for our final session of 2024. Val's workshop will be a safe space where you can enjoy singing in harmony with a community of friends and allies. She leads with a lot of humour and encouragement and all the teaching is done by ear. We’ll sing uplifting, life-affirming songs, and no experience is necessary.
Val is a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, choir director and community music facilitator. She leads singing workshops throughout the UK and writes loads of songs for choirs. She is the co-founder of the arts company Out Of the Archive, which makes work based on the hidden or forgotten lives of LGBTQ+ pioneers. Her latest work is a musical called Gwenda’s Garage, which will be coming to London in 2025.
Come and sing for fun with LGBTQIA+ (and ally-friendly) group Many Voices. There's no need to read music; all songs are taught by ear. No auditions, no performances, no commitment required. We just sing for fun: spirited songs, fun ditties and rounds, and inspirational songs, nothing complicated. We genuinely welcome lesbian, gay, bi, trans/gender-diverse, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual people — and our allies.
Our venue is Essex Church (Kensington Unitarians), near Notting Hill Gate tube station. We'll be singing in a big, bright room with plenty of space and ventilation.
If you would like to come and sing your heart out, but are feeling a bit nervous, get in touch beforehand and we'll do what we can to help you over the threshold :-) You'll definitely feel better after a good sing!
Cost: £10 (£5 conc), BACS or cash. No need to pre-book but it helps us know how many biccies to buy…
