Every Monday at 6:00–7:00 pm starting January 5, 2026 (In-person – Mapleton)
Love spotting bad arguments, fake news, or when someone (or even you!) is talking nonsense? Join our friendly, long-running philosophy discussion group as we kick off our third year with a fun and eye-opening book:
“Nonsense: Red Herrings, Straw Men And Sacred Cows - How We Abuse Logic in Our Everyday Language” by Robert J. Gula
This book is a lively guide to recognizing logical fallacies, emotional manipulation, and fuzzy thinking—in politics, advertising, social media, conversations… and sometimes in the mirror.
No philosophy degree required—just curiosity and a desire to think more clearly. We read a short section each week, talk about real-life examples, laugh at the absurdities we all fall for, and sharpen our mental tools together.
All adults welcome (teens with an adult are fine too). Beginners and skeptics especially encouraged!
Comment or DM for the exact address and to let us know you’re coming. First meeting Jan 5.
Send me a chat for location and any questions. Looking forward to thinking (and laughing) with you in 2026!
