MappingDC Dog Days on 14th Street NW

Details
14th Street NW has been growing and changing a lot -- there are many new businesses, shops, restaurants and bars, as well as lots of things that have closed or changed, plus many existing businesses that just aren't on the map. So let's get it up to date!
We're going to meet up at Cove, the coworking space at 1624 14th Street NW (at Q) for and walk around to update OpenStreetMap for the area. You can join at any time between noon and 3:30. We'll provide clipboards and pencils, but feel free to bring your own.
If you're new to mapping on OpenStreetMap, that's great! We'll teach you everything you need to know, which doesn't take very long, and everything we use is free. You don't need any special skills or training. We'll be walking around collecting data using paper or phone apps, and then coming back to Cove to enter the data and talk about what we can do with it.
Mapathons are a lot of fun, and people of any age can participate. Before we've had parents with strollers, little kids and adults alike.
It's best to bring a laptop to enter the data. We'll have someone at Cove at all times to watch them and help with any questions.
And since it's hot, you don't have to walk around for very long -- you can participate for as long as you'd like. And there are lots of places nearby you can stop to keep cool -- cafes, restaurants and bars.
We'll be in a conference room inside Cove -- ask for Andrew, Brian or Steven with MappingDC or Alex with Cove if you have trouble finding the room.
