OpenStreetMap 101 - Let's edit the world's largest collaborative map database!

Join us for our next meeting where we will go over OpenStreetMap, the "Wikipedia of Maps". First, we will start with a brief overview of the OSM project to hopefully show you why freely available, collaborative maps are important. (Hint: they are!)

Most importantly, we will teach you how to get involved and be a mapper yourself! This will be an interactive session where you will have the opportunity to map your neighborhood, join humanitarian projects to help out those in need, or to edit the things that you like. Are you into transportation, accessibility, environmental resources, or anything else? Don't worry, we got you covered! All those have a place in OpenStreetMap.

Bring your laptops and get down with us as we have fun with maps! Come play with us.
