International Humanitarian Mapathon 2025!

Details
MaptimeLA is partnering with folks from around the world to host the 2025 International Humanitarian Mapathon!
April 29, we'll be learning about OpenStreetMap, how to contribute to global humanitarian mapping efforts, and how to make your own maps using global data. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you have mapping experience or not. Just bring your laptop and we'll get you mapping right away!
RSVP here and also check out the mapathon website for more details and participating universities.
What’s happening? Join us at Metro HQ for the Mapathon kickoff! We'll be live streaming a keynote speaker, before getting into some hands-on humanitarian mapping in support of the 🌏 Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT).
Want to participate in the Crisis Map Challenge? You're in luck! We're hosting a workshop on how to use Felt! Come by Wednesday April 23, for a hands-on, beginner-friendly crash course workshop on making a map with Felt, an online mapping tool "Built for Anyone to make a Beautiful Map in Minutes". You'll have a few days to experiment with Felt before submissions to the map challenge are due on April 28.
Many thanks to 🚍 LA Metro and the 🗺️ theworksLA, for sponsoring our in-person Mapathon events!
