We teach rhythm, song & movement at regular workshops. Our style is traced through the lineage of groups (or "nations") such as Maracatu Aurora Africana, Maracatu Estrela Brilhante, Maracatu Leão Coroado, and others. We share a living tradition of maracatu locally to promote social inclusion, break cultural barriers, and facilitate community building & engagement.
During our weekly workshop series, no musical experience is required. All instruments are provided and at this stage is not suitable for children.
