About us
Maraoke is karaoke, modded.
We take well-known songs and rewrite them about videogames - from Mario Kart to Stardew Valley to Baldur’s Gate. The lyrics are projected behind you, the crowd sings along, and the whole room feels more like a gig than a pub karaoke night.
This isn’t a “stand alone on stage while everyone watches” situation.
At Maraoke:
- The audience commits.
- The singer feels like a rockstar.
- Nobody dies alone.
You don’t need to be a good singer.
You don’t even need to sing.
You just need to be up for something loud, silly and joyful.
We run monthly events at Loading Bar in Stoke Newington. It’s friendly, inclusive, and very welcoming to gamers, creatives, introverts, extroverts and anyone who prefers structured chaos over awkward small talk.
