Join us for a thrilling traverse of the Lägern, the easternmost finger of the Jura Mountains. This hike offers a dramatic ridge experience that feels like a high-alpine adventure, located just a short distance from Zurich.

### ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Safety & Requirements
This hike is strictly for experienced hikers only.
- The Terrain: The route includes a long section along an exposed limestone ridge. The path is narrow with steep drops on both sides.
- Requirements: You must be sure-footed and have a good head for heights (schwindelfrei).
- Responsibility: Participation is at your own risk. Each participant is responsible for their own safety and must ensure they have appropriate gear (sturdy hiking boots are mandatory).

### 1. Schedule
Individual travel from Zurich Recommended connection from Zurich HB:
- 09:14 – 09:18: Train (S2) towards Zurich Airport, Track 34
- 09:22 – 09:42: Bus (EV 1) towards Regensdorf-Watt, from Zurich Oerlikon (Nord)
- 09:49 – 09:57: Train (S6) towards Baden, Track 4 (from Regensdorf-Watt)
- 09:57: Arrival in Otelfingen, Track 1
Everyone travels individually from Zurich HB to Otelfingen. Please note the current rail replacement bus service on this route.
### 2. Meeting point: Otelfingen Station
We meet at 10:00 at the main station in Otelfingen to begin our ascent.
### 3. The Climb: Lägern Ridge
We hike from Otelfingen to Baden via the Lägern Hochwacht.
- Duration: Approximately 5 hours.
- The Experience: We will navigate the limestone crest, enjoying the rugged terrain and wide-open views.
- Pace: We move steadily, but the focus is on safety and enjoying the unique landscape.
### 4. Drinks at Colombo, Baden
After the hike (~15:30), we will head to Colombo in Baden. We’ll relax with a drink or snack in a laid-back atmosphere to celebrate the successful crossing of the ridge.
### 5. Return trip
Everyone heads home individually from Baden station whenever they feel ready.

- Duration: ~5 hours of active hiking.
- Gear: Proper hiking boots with good grip are essential. Bring warm layers (it can be very windy on the ridge), water, and snacks for the trail.
