### 1. Wisdom

🧠 Definition: The ability to know what is right and true — and to make good decisions based on that.
In simple terms:
Wisdom means using your mind well. It’s about seeing things clearly, thinking before acting, and knowing what really matters in life.
Example: Choosing to stay calm during an argument because you understand that anger won’t help.

### 2. Courage

💪 Definition: The strength to do what is right, even when it’s hard, scary, or unpopular.
In simple terms:
Courage is doing the right thing even when you're afraid. It’s not about being fearless — it’s about acting in spite of fear.
Example: Standing up for someone being treated unfairly, even if it puts you at risk.

### 3. Justice

⚖️ Definition: Treating others fairly and doing what is morally right in your relationships and responsibilities.
In simple terms:
Justice is being a good person to others. It’s about fairness, honesty, and helping your community.
Example: Keeping your promises, respecting others, and speaking up when you see something wrong.

### 4. Temperance

🌿 Definition: Self-control and moderation — knowing how to balance desires and not overdo things.
In simple terms:
Temperance means not giving in to every impulse. It’s about finding balance and not letting pleasure or emotion control you.
Example: Eating one cookie instead of the whole box because you know too much isn’t good for you.

These four virtues work together — and the Stoics believed that living by them leads to true happiness and inner peace.
