Gulf of Baratti hike

Excursion between the Gulf of Baratti and the Piombino Promontory. We will meet at the Populonia Stazione car park for a coffee before departure. From there, we will hike across the hills surrounding the Gulf of Baratti towards the Piombino Promontory, where we will visit Buca delle Fate, one of the most scenic spots on the Etruscan Coast, as well as the charming medieval village of Populonia.
We will then return along the coastal trail; at that point, those who wish may stop for a swim, while the rest of the group heads back to Populonia Stazione.

Difficulty: moderate
Meeting point: 9:00 am at the Populonia Stazione car park (province of Livorno). Further information will be provided upon confirmation of the event.

Recommended equipment and clothing: hiking shoes, backpack with water and a packed lunch, trekking poles if you normally use them, sun hat/cap.
