What we’re about
Welcome to the MariaDB Bremen Meetup!
We're a community of students, developers, DBAs, and IT professionals who are passionate about MariaDB, open source technologies, and all things databases. Whether you're just starting out with SQL or have years of experience in database architecture, you're welcome here.
This group is organized by the MariaDB Foundation, the non-profit behind MariaDB Server. The Foundation ensures continuity and open development of the MariaDB database, supporting the community and driving collaboration between users, developers, and contributors around the world.
We meet regularly to learn, share ideas, and connect over topics like performance tuning, database design, high availability, open source contributions, and real-world use cases of MariaDB. Events include tech talks, hands-on sessions, and networking—often with pizza, sometimes with black vodka and always with good company.
Whether you're from academia, industry, or just curious—join us and be part of Bremen’s open source database community!
