Apple Hill- Farms & Camping
Details
πππ Letβs make our Autumnal Dreams Come True! πππ
Join me for a quick weekend trip to Apple Hill. Weβll visit some farms for all the fall activities, and camp on a lake where we might get a little bit of fall foliage in the Sierra foothills.
Hereβs the plan:
-
π Pack our camping gear and leave Marin Saturday AM around 9, drive 2.5 hours out to Placerville
-
π Grab lunch and visit a few farms for activities such as apple/pumpkin picking, cider/hot chocolate tasting, pastry eating, and shopping
-
ποΈ Drive 25 minutes up a very windy road to a top-rated Hip Camp campground
-
π₯ Have dinner at the restaurant on the lake or cook at camp.
-
β¨ Enjoy beautiful nature and good company under the stars
-
π§Ί Pack up Sunday AM and head back to Apple Hill to visit a few more farms before the crowds arrive, then head home.
Other Details:
π΅ Weβll share the cost of the 2 campsites I booked. Expect $15-25 depending on how many people join us.
π Up to 4 well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at camp and many farms are dog friendly. Camp charges $5 per dog, let me know if youβd like to bring yours. Iβm leaving mine at home this trip.
π Carpooling encouraged, we can have 4 cars on site and others will need to go in overflow lot.
