Orange Lake Overlook - Walk and Purple Martin House Dedication

Details
Please join Marion Audubon at Marjorie A. Hoy Orange Lake Overlook where we have installed a new Purple Martin (PUMA) nest gourd house.
We will be walking the OLO trails in a group lead search for birds beginning at 7:30 AM. Alachua Audubon will be joining us and the walks will be guided by Scott Robinson and Kent Weakley. If we have a large enough group, we will split into two.
The Marjorie A. Hoy, Orange Lake Overlook site was formally an Orange Grove and a cattle pasture. It is managed by Alachua Conservation Trust. We are hoping to locate fall warblers, and recently an Alder Flycatcher was heard there.
Plan to walk approximately 2 miles on a mode pathway. Please bring water, bug spray, hats, and sunscreen. The grass may be wet, so wear appropriate footwear.
After the walk at 10 AM we will host a dedication of the new PUMA nest houses which will be placed next to the original houses that were installed by Alachua Audubon.
