Join Marion Audubon’s President, Max Weakley, on a guided morning excursion to Fort De Soto Park on Florida’s Gulf Coast! Here, we have the potential for over 70 species of birds, ranging from incoming migratory warblers and raptors to wintering shorebirds, resident parakeets and wading birds, and many more that may surprise us.

Bring binoculars and a camera if you have them. Additionally, bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and a packed lunch as we will be birding into the late morning/early afternoon.

Currently, we will be meeting at the Bay Pier Parking Area; however, we may change this based on local sightings of rarities as we approach the event date. Keep an eye out for any updates for our meeting location.

This is a PAID MEMBERS-ONLY event with limited space, so please ensure you’re up to date on your dues. You can join or renew the Marion Audubon Society on our website to access this or other future events.
