Join Marion Audubon’s President, Max Weakley, on a guided walk in the Ocala National Forest in search of some of its prized birds. Our main focus with this event will be locating the Red-cockaded Woodpecker, Bachman’s Sparrow, Brown-headed Nuthatch, and Florida Scrub-Jay.

You will need to enter these coordinates into your GPS app to locate our meeting point, as there are no true addresses where we are going.
29.318401, -81.773920

We will meet at the above coordinates at 8:00 AM and walk into the woods from there. Please wear long pants and comfortable shoes as we will be walking primarily on dirt and sand trails and potentially through tall grass.

This is a PAID MEMBERS-ONLY event with limited capacity, so please ensure you’re up to date on your dues. Members may bring one guest if they wish. If you sign up for this event and discover you will be unable to attend, please remove yourself from the registration so others on the waiting list can take your place.

You can join or renew your membership with the Marion Audubon Society on our website to access this event and others in the future.
