AI, Digital Marketing and the Future

Details
A hot topic for debate in 2023 is the rise of AI and who better to discuss this than a panel of experts from AI, law and SEO. Join the meet up in person or online and sign up to be notified when we announce our panellists.
If you can't make the event in person you can stream online here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZy7PKVmX8Q
As well as quite heated and thought provoking debate you can expect drinks and nibbles from our hosts ROCK PLACE at their amazing venue (ask to see the (not so) secret Casino downstairs π).
We will be discussing:
- The nuances of creative inspiration & AI and the value of an idea. Seth Godin argues inspiration and learning is part of what develops our culture (https://seths.blog/2023/01/patterns-culture-and-theft/) but Getty Images are arguing the opposite in a court case against Stability AI - (https://www.theverge.com/2023/1/17/23558516/ai-art-copyright-stable-diffusion-getty-images-lawsuit)
- How AI is now judging AI and what this means for our SEO efforts. In August 2022 Google released its 'Helpful Content Update' which rewarded sites that produced content 'written for people' in November 2022 ChatGPT changed the world. With AI able to tell which content was written by AI and judge its 'helpfulness' who will end up on top?
The first of our panelists is Ifi Mavridou. Ifi specialises in affective computing, machine learning, signal processing, Virtual Reality systems and experiment design. Since 2016, Ifi has been investigating the recognition of physio-psychological states within XR while working at Brighton's Emteq Labs. As well as this Ifi is also an artist and has a Masters in fine art so can see all sides of the coin when it comes to AI and creativity.
Next up is Ricky Whiting, Ricky's been working with AI long before ChatGTP reared its head and is the author of 'Do You Want Your Website To Rank On Google'. He will be discussing with us how using AI to help create content can be a game changer... but... you can't just be copying and pasting this shiz!
Anuj Desai, our third panelist, is a commercial lawyer keen to explore the impact of AI through a legal lens. Anuj has worked in a variety of senior in-house roles in the UK media industry over 15 years and now acts as a commercial lawyer and board advisor to startups and SMEs in the UK. He has an interest in copyright and intellectual property law, and is keen to explore potential issues with the creative and marketing services industries leaning too heavily on AI systems to create content.
We expect this to be a lively discussion and will welcome questions from the audience.
The panel discussion will last around 45 - 60 mins starting at 18:30. There is time to network, eat and drink before and after the panel.
