Markham Hiking Group

Welcome to Markham Hiking Group!

We organize hikes for intermediate hikers in the Rouge Valley, including both sides of Milne Dam Conservation Park, north toward Unionville, and south down to Highway 14. We also occasionally explore trails throughout York Region and Durham Region, giving members a variety of scenic routes to enjoy.

Hikes take place on weekdays, weekends, and evenings, including night hikes.

What to expect:

• Scenic Rouge Valley trails and nearby York & Durham Region routes
• Steady, social pace with moderate elevation and uneven terrain
• A welcoming, supportive community of hikers
• Safety and trail etiquette are a priority — proper footwear is required, and headlamps/flashlights are necessary for night hikes
