We aim to improve our language skills as well as create an international place to belong to in Tokyo!
Qualified English and Japanese teachers will facilitate the session.
If you are an absolute beginner or not at conversational level, please let us know beforehand so that we can prepare a small free lesson for you!
Mark House aims to create "the third place to be" outside school/work and home in Tokyo, not only for expats and Japanese youth and adults but also for those who are trying to reengage into society. The organizer Masako has to rest every now and then during the event due to her chronic condition.

Mark House hosts opportunities to meet and speak Japanese with local Japanese people!!
We organize a language exchange cafe for English speakers learning Japanese, and Japanese speakers learning English, 5 minutes from JR Omori (Keihin Tohoku line, Sanno North exit) on Saturdays.
We aim to create “The third place to be”, outside school/work and home in Japan.
We welcome foreign residents, exchange students, and international travelers learning Japanese.
You don’t have to be native English speakers as long as you’re conversational in English.

We are an international couple from Australia（Aussie husband Craig and Japanese wife Masako) are renting a small cafe in Otaku, Tokyo, to organize a language exchange cafe, for English speakers learning Japanese and Japanese speakers learning English.
日本語を勉強しているオーストラリア人の夫（クレイグ）と日本人の妻（まさこ）の国際結婚カップルが、東京都大田区のカフェを間借りして、日本語を勉強している英語話者と英語を勉強している日本語話者のランゲージエクスチェンジカフェを運営しています。
Mark House aims to create “The third place to be”, outside school/work and home in Japan, for foreign residents and Japanese youth and adults. Those who are trying to reengage into society due to their chronic conditions are also attending as volunteer staff.
マークハウスは、「若者応援＆おとな基地」として、学校や職場、家庭以外の「インターナショナルな第三の居場所づくり」を目指しています。
日本に住む外国人や日本人だけでなく、難病などの諸事情で社会参加、社会復帰を目指す人もスタッフとして参加しています。We welcome foreign residents, exchange students, and international travelers learning Japanese. You don't have to be native English speakers as long as you are fluent in English.
日本語を勉強している英語話者の在留外国人だけでなく、交換留学生、旅行者の方たちも参加しています。ネイティブ英語話者ではなくても、英語が流暢な方は英語話者として参加できます。
