This group is for everyone but bonus points if you're from the UK, (I'm from Scotland originally) or an ex-pat living in San Diego away from your home country to give it more of an International flavor. I think this group is of particular value to people new to San Diego and want to get to know people and make new friends, or to people looking to expand their friendship network
Every month I'll pick a venue somewhere in San Diego where we meet up. The only requirement is to mingle, have fun and a laugh! Ready to make new friends? Come join!
By signing up to attend a Get-Together you agree to the following terms:
1. If you can't go for whatever reason after signing up, please take your name of the attending list. Some venues have limited space, so if you sign up to attend and don't show up without amending your RSVP, it will be noted as you may have cost someone on the waitlist a space.
2. If you show up with a big group unannounced without letting the organizer know beforehand (particularly if space has been reserved and numbers are limited) you risk being removed from the group
3. No promoting other events on the message board unless you contact the organizer directly
4. Be respectful of other attendees. Don't be rude or harass anyone or you will be removed from the group.
5. The organizer reserves the right to remove members for any reason.
6. Liability Disclosure - The sole function of the organizers in this group is to arrange a place and time for each event. Each person (including guest members) who signs up "yes" for an event is responsible for his or her own safety, and transportation for each event. When you (and your guests) sign up for this group you agree the organizer is NOT liable for any injury, loss, or damage to you or your property, arising directly or as a consequence from a group activity.
7. There are no membership dues to be a part of this group. It does take money to pay for this site, and I gladly accept donations :)
8. Please do share the group link with friends, colleagues etc. The aim is to continually grow this event into something special in San Diego.

🎬 Support a Local Short Film: Callum Amongst Strangers
A quick note to share a new independent film project currently being developed by members of our local film community. No need to RSVP. A date is required on the platform but this post is simply to share the project and invite support.
There’s a short film I and several others are currently working on called Callum Amongst Strangers.
It’s a quiet, character driven story about loneliness, guilt, the disconnection of modern life, and what happens when someone tries to start over in a new city.
The film is currently in pre-production and scheduled to shoot in a few weeks. I’m posting it here to raise awareness and to see if anyone in the community would like to support the project and receive a credit and even a producer credit in the film!
Every contribution goes directly to production costs, in addition to what the team and I are personally contributing ourselves.
San Diego has a fantastic film community and one of my goals has always been to help create more opportunities and projects for local filmmakers.
