What we’re about
This group is for everyone but bonus points if you're from the UK, (I'm from Scotland originally) or an ex-pat living in San Diego away from your home country to give it more of an International flavor. I think this group is of particular value to people new to San Diego and want to get to know people and make new friends, or to people looking to expand their friendship network
Every month I'll pick a venue somewhere in San Diego where we meet up. The only requirement is to mingle, have fun and a laugh! Ready to make new friends? Come join!
By signing up to attend a Get-Together you agree to the following terms:
1. If you can't go for whatever reason after signing up, please take your name of the attending list. Some venues have limited space, so if you sign up to attend and don't show up without amending your RSVP, it will be noted as you may have cost someone on the waitlist a space.
2. If you show up with a big group unannounced without letting the organizer know beforehand (particularly if space has been reserved and numbers are limited) you risk being removed from the group
3. No promoting other events on the message board unless you contact the organizer directly
4. Be respectful of other attendees. Don't be rude or harass anyone or you will be removed from the group.
5. The organizer reserves the right to remove members for any reason.
6. Liability Disclosure - The sole function of the organizers in this group is to arrange a place and time for each event. Each person (including guest members) who signs up "yes" for an event is responsible for his or her own safety, and transportation for each event. When you (and your guests) sign up for this group you agree the organizer is NOT liable for any injury, loss, or damage to you or your property, arising directly or as a consequence from a group activity.
7. There are no membership dues to be a part of this group. It does take money to pay for this site, and I gladly accept donations :)
8. Please do share the group link with friends, colleagues etc. The aim is to continually grow this event into something special in San Diego.

Mark Coulter - Free Beginners Acting Class Mon June 23rd! (NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY)San Diego Film and TV Acting Classes - Actors Workshop Studios, San Diego, CA
Anyone ever want to try acting? I coach fun beginner classes for aspiring actors or people just interested in learning about acting on Monday evenings at Actors Workshop Studios in Mira Mesa from 7-10pm.
I have some spots available for new students on Monday nights. All ages (over 18) welcome! This first class is completely free just to see if you like it and if you do, we can chat about being more involved for an initial 3-months basis if you like it, but it's absolutely no pressure.
I've been teaching there for 3 years and it's a great place to learn about all the fundamentals of acting. I create a very fun, comfortable, welcoming environment and best of all you'll be coached by me for a while!
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and have fun!

Mark Coulter - Extras needed for an Independent fantasy movie filming on weekends through JulyNeeds location
Wanna be a extra in an independent dark fantasy film called 'Infernal' currently shooting in and round San Diego? We particularly need people interested in learning a few sword fighting moves (we'll provide proper training beforehand) to play bandits, fiends, villagers and soldiers.

This is a great opportunity to get some experience, have fun, get a movie credit and connect with a bunch of new folk! Before you commit though, a few things to know:
- It's in Potrero, about an hour outside San Diego
- You'll need to get there yourself or carpool
- It's unpaid but we'll feed you.
- These are big village scenes, so it's long days and it may be hot out there
- (Optional) If you have any medieval/historical type costume/clothing that'd be helpful but we'll take care of it otherwiseBelow are the July dates that extras are needed.
