Synopsis: Virtual threads in the JDK 21 just became generally available, but how did we get here and why are they significant improvements of Java in terms of multiprocessing? In this journey we’ll revisit the basics of multiprocessing and what techniques and frameworks are available out there, who knows maybe you get as much excited as I am about the topic!

Synopsis: In my upcoming presentation, I'll talk you through Marshmallow's innovative hackathons. We'll delve into why hackathons have become an integral part of our culture, exploring the immense value they bring to our team and how these experiences can transform your workplace. I'll also share insights from my recent hackathon project, conducted in November, where I demonstrated the potential of using Photogrammetry techniques on an iPhone video to generate scalable 3D models of accident sites. This technique not only enhances claims data but also opens up new possibilities in the insurance industry.
