Have you trained your dog in the basics? Do you already have your Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and are training toward the Community Canine title or Control Evaluation for therapy work? Would you like a refresher on basic public access skills? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this class might just be something for you and your dog!

I am hosting a CGCA, CGCU, Therapy Dog control evaluation, and Public Access preparation classes each week. Your dog should have some basic training, preferably an AKC CGC title, and be under control around unfamiliar people and unfamiliar dogs. We will work toward our goals but will honor our dogs each step of the way, never pushing them to do something they are not ready or willing to do.

As dogs become ready, you can schedule a CGCA, CGCU, and/or a Control Evaluations with Mary. Then your team will be ready to continue onto the next phase.

I recommend you visit AKC.org to find out more information for the CGCA & CGCU

I recommend all potential therapy teams to go to www.loveonaleash.org and check out the membership application. This packet will give you all kinds of information about the therapy dog group and the criteria for successful completion of the control evaluation required before the in-center evaluations.
