West Coast Swing


WCS, one of  the most fun dances to learn, and dance...once you get the hang of it.....WCS......is the connection you have been waiting for!

I have been teaching and dancing and performing for over 45 years in dance and when asked which is my favourite dance I immediately answer WCS. The diversity in music allows you to express yourself to a number of rhythms, from slow, sultry Soul to upbeat, energetic Swing and modern music such as Hip Hop and Funk.  It is a dance that reaches out to all ages because of the diversity of the music.
WCS is all fun...but what West Coast Swing teaches you is how to communicate with one another.  The dance is about lead and follow....a conversation between two people.  where that conversation goes and how intense it becomes is up to the two people dancing....you have to try it out to understand the conversation....so much fun.
West Coast Swing Dancing Group meets up once a month on Saturday please check schedule for the dates of each month. costs $25 for the afternoon >> New to West Coast Swing? << beginner lessons starting at 3pm 
Classes are currently held at
Location 30-UP Club 22 Dorchester Ave, Toronto, ON M8Z4W3 (beautiful space, air-conditioned , sprung floor, FREE Parking in the back of the building, across at the cinemas parking lot and directly in front of the building and on the street .( use the afternoon to learn to dance WCS ,,,,then it's dinner and a movie time.  you have a monthly night out for yourself or with a friend.  come and meet more friends to have something in common with.  
we often stay and dance at the 30-UP club, they have dinner with admission (separate price) and we dance till 11pm. so much fun.  
2023 - schedule  ( asking please until further notice that MASKS to be still worn during class and dancing time. thank you for your cooperation in this matter)

3pm - 6pm
3pm: dance techniques movement styling, body isolations spins open for all levels _ no experience needed, fun workout to get you moving
3:45pm Beginner : Basics and Beyond WCS
5pm Intermediate : WCS : you must know how to do the whips
