The 2nd Annual Nexus Harbor Summit honors the service, sacrifice, and leadership of our nation’s veterans. The program will include welcoming remarks, the posting of the colors, the national anthem, an invocation, and the retiring of the colors. This shared moment of reflection will open a day focused on connection, recognition, and action.

Following the ceremony, the Johns Hopkins Veterans Speaker Event begins with keynote remarks from General David H. Berger, 38th Commandant of the United States Marine Corps and a Johns Hopkins alumnus. his keynote sets the stage for a full afternoon of programming focused on veteran-led innovation and civic impact. The afternoon features a series of panel sessions with veteran entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers, and civic leaders. Topics include health innovation, civic infrastructure, digital equity, and pathways that connect military experience to long-term public service and community impact.

Presented in partnership with the JHU Veterans Employee Resource Groups, Hopkins Veterans and Allies ERG, the Baltimore City Veterans Commission, the Maryland Veterans Chamber of Commerce, and the Veterans Entrepreneurship Initiative, the Nexus Harbor Summit reflects a shared belief that military service builds the skills and mindset needed for meaningful public contribution. This convening offers a platform for veterans and allies to co-design scalable solutions that integrate people, place, and technology in service of equity and resilience across communities.
