EVENT: New to hiking? Lake Roland Park trail is a 4.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Baltimore, Maryland that features beautiful wild flowers ,in the summer, and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. This will be an easy hike with a variation in elevation of 150 feet. We will be moving at an average pace of 2.5 miles per hour, with a break every half mile or as needed. There are a few stream crossing so be prepared.
NOTE: (Place hike details here)This is a hike for those who hike or walk at least 5 miles per week - and please RSVP only if you can maintain a 2 - 2.5 mph pace and navigate through stream crossings & up and down hills - THANKS.
SUGGESTED ATTIRE: Long hiking pants and hiking shoes or boots are highly recommended; however, trail running shoes or sneakers with treads can work.
WHERE TO MEET: We will be meeting at the trail head on Falls Road. Please be mindful to park in between the signs, to avoid being ticketed.
RSVP COMMON COURTESY: Only RSVP if you intend to make the hike a priority, not just an option. Specifically, it is Not fair to take a confirmed spot, then cancel less than 48 hours in advance, limiting your fellow “DMV Hiker's Club “ members' in “waitlist” status the potential to participate!
DOGS: There is a limit of one dog for this hike. Please send or post a message if you want to bring a dog. You and the dog must keep pace. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The dog is well behaved around our group, others and other dogs on trail. Keep the dog hydrated throughout the hike. Thanks!
Most of all, I look forward to our hike.
