DESCRIPTION:
Experience this 5+ mile modified loop trail near Laurel, Maryland. Generally considered a moderate route (due to the length), it takes an average of 2.5 hours to complete.
DESCRIPTION:
- This is an 5+ mile hike on natural, mostly flat trails in Laurel, Maryland
- The method and pace allows for a few breaks and quick photos along the way
- One dog is welcome, and must be on a leash
DEPARTURE:
We'll start at 9AM; please allow ample travel and preparation time as we strive to be considerate of everyone's shared time.
CLOTHING:
Weather-appropriate clothing and walking shoes/boots are highly recommended. You may also wish to bring your hiking poles or walking stick. Be sure to bring water and bug spray, too :)
MEETING LOCATION:
We'll meet in the parking lot at the Patuxent Research Refuge - North Tract Visitor Center.
RSVP PROTOCOLS:
- Sign up if 100% you're serious about attending this hike. Spaces are limited and, when you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, you may keep other members from attending.
- Attend the hike if your RSVP is confirmed (we reserve the right to turn you away if your name is not listed on the "Going" tab).
- Change your RSVP to "Not Going" if you can no longer attend
MEMBER PROFILE PHOTOS:
To participate in our events, you must display a recent member photo on your profile.
ADDITIONAL ITEMS:
- Please refrain from moving ahead of the hike leader or falling too far behind, as we're unable to move at your pace or provide directions
- If you find the hike pace unworkable, please feel free to separate from the group and continue on your own
- Most of all, we look forward to hiking together!
