LOCATION:

DESCRIPTION:
Situated on 232 acres of rolling hills with a variety of habitats, Mount Pleasant nestles in the beautiful Patapsco Valley and is home to more than 140 species of birds and wildlife.
- This is a 3+/- mile hike on natural trails
- It's generally considered an easy route
- It takes about 1.5-2 hours to complete at an average pace of 2 1/2 MPH
- The pace will allow for a few breaks to hydrate, observe the views, take photos, and visit the owls/goats/chickens/other interesting things on the property
- One dog (Zora) willl be joining us.
DEPARTURE: We'll start at 9:00AM; please allow ample travel and preparation time as we all strive to be considerate of everyone's shared time.
CLOTHING: Weather-appropriate clothing and walking shoes/boots are highly recommended. You may also wish to bring your hiking poles/walking stick. Don't forget your bug spray and water. :)
MEETING LOCATION: We'll meet in the main parking lot.
RSVP PROTOCOLS:
- Only sign up if 100% you're serious about attending this hike. Spaces are limited and, when you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, you may keep other members from attending!
- Only attend the hike if your RSVP is confirmed (you'll be turned away if your name is not listed on the "Going" tab).
- Change your RSVP to "Not Going" if you can no longer attend
MEMBER PROFILE PHOTOS: To participate in our events, you must display a recent member photo on your profile.
ADDITIONAL ITEMS:
- Please refrain from moving ahead of the hike leader or falling too far behind, as we're unable to move at your pace or provide directions
- If you find the hike pace unworkable, please feel free to separate from the group and continue on your own
- Most of all, we look forward to hiking together!
