The Hike: This will be a moderate hike with a variation in elevation of 419 feet. Trolley Line Number 9 and Red Trail is a 4.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Ellicott City. We will be moving at an average pace of 2.5 miles per hour, with a break every half mile or as needed.

WHAT TO EXPECT: This is a hike for those who enjoy hiking and the outdoors. Be prepared as you will be expected to maintain a 2- 2.5 mph pace and navigate through stream crossings and some elevations.
SUGGESTED ATTIRE: Long hiking or cargo pants, hiking shoes or boots are highly recommended. Also wear wool socks as they help with moisture and the prevention of blisters.
· WHERE TO MEET: We will be meeting at the intersection of Edmondson Avenue and 300 Chalfonte Drive. Parking is only available on the street.
· RSVP COMMON COURTESY: Only RSVP if you intend to make the hike a priority, not just an option. Spaces are limited and when you cancel less than 48 hours in advance, you limit your fellow aspiring hikers, in “waitlist” status the potential to participate!
· DOGS: There is a limit of one dog for this hike. Please send or post a message if you want to bring a dog. You and the dog must keep pace.

· ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The dog must be well behaved around our group, others, and other dogs on trail. Keep the dog hydrated throughout the hike. Thanks!

· Be Prompt: Please depart you residence in enough time to arrive promptly. We will be departing at the prescribed time ,and unable to wait if you are late. We must be considerate of other peoples’ time.
