HISTORIC ROCKVILLE WALK

The walk is on sidewalks and asphalt trails with one short, but steep, hill and is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. There are two trails, short and long. The short trail is 3.1 miles (5 kilometers) and is rated 1A. The long trail is 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) and is rated 2A (including the short, but steep, hill).

The Start/Finish point is at Dawson's Market; 225 N. Washington Street; Rockville, MD 20850. The start time is between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. (noon). YOU MUST FINISH BY 3:00 p.m.

All walkers over 12 years of age must pay a $4 participation fee. Children under 12 may earn IVV credit for no charge at all events sponsored by the Seneca Valley Sugarloafers.

Parking is available in several Rockville Town Center parking garages. As of this writing parking is free for the first hour (two hours with validation). PLEASE be courteous and DO NOT PARK in the spaces reserved for Dawson's Market customers. Please use public parking garages and street parking in the area. Restrooms and water are available at the Start/Finish point. Pets may be taken on the trail but must be leashed at all times during the walk. You must clean up after your pet.
