Merryman's Mill/Loch Raven Reservoir - 6+ Mile Moderate, Brisk Hike!

Come explore a portion of the Merryman's area of Loch Raven! We'll aim for a bit over 6 miles depending on pace and what the paths offer; Some trekking on wider fire trails to narrow mountain biking paths, a couple stream crossings, with a few high vantage points along the way.

*Possibly go to Ryleigh's Oyster afterwards for a pint*

Please be on time, but will give a bit of leeway.

Parking note: If you're lucky you may get one of the several spots right next to the trail head, otherwise park along Dulaney Valley Road, just above the meeting spot (south of the bridge.)

RSVP COMMON COURTESY: Only RSVP if you intend to make the hike a priority, not just an option. Specifically, it is Not fair to take a confirmed spot, then cancel less than 48 hours in advance, limiting your fellow Maryland Hiking and Adventuring members' in “waitlist” status the potential to participate!
DOGS: Please send or post a message if you want to bring a dog. You and the dog must keep pace. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The dog is well behaved around our group, others and other dogs on trail. Keep the dog hydrated throughout the hike. Thanks!
WHY WE VOLUNTEER: Your organizers are volunteers and we are sharing our passion for the outdoors. We organize events for fun, to socialize, get exercise, experience nature and meet cool new people. No bad attitudes please. :)
