This may be a new hike for this group. Come join me in Westminster, MD.

Hike the Hashawha Loop in Westminster MD. 4 miles, no stream crossing, with a few hills and a little mud.
During this hike we will see scenic trails along with getting the benefits of fresh air and exercise. We will step off promptly @ 10:00 am with a medium pace, 2 - 2.5 mph. Definitely bring a great attitude.

Hashawha Environmental Center is a 320-acre park that includes 5 miles of multi-use trails, raptor mews, fishing at Lake Hashawha, abundant wildlife, and the restored Martin Cabin Homestead.
NOTE: There are a few hills, and no stream crossings.
Terrain is mostly hard packed trail with some tree roots and rocks.
NO Dogs please.
SUGGESTED HIKING MATERIALS:

  • Highly recommend Hiking boots/ hiking shoes. Sneakers with treads can work.
  • Water & healthy snacks.
  • Sunscreen & Insect Repellant.
  • Optional: hiking/trekking poles.
