This may be a new hike for this group. Come join me in Carroll County, MD.

The hike begins at the parking lot at Ben Rose Lane. Park near the trail head to stay clear of any horse trailers. We travel through a collection of overgrown fields and mature woods. Several points of interest along the way include old silos, storage barns, corn crib and a large 2-seater outhouse. Come prepared for mud. This is TICK habitat. There is one moderate stream crossing we can rock hop. Pack a snack, water and other hiking essentials.
We will step off promptly @ 10:00 am with a medium pace, 2 - 2.5 mph. Definitely bring a great attitude.
NO Dogs please.
SUGGESTED HIKING MATERIALS:

  • Highly recommend Hiking boots/ hiking shoes. Sneakers with treads can work.
  • Water & healthy snacks.
  • Sunscreen & Insect Repellant.
  • Optional: hiking/trekking poles.
