Let's do this hike again! Join me for an easy/moderate 4-mile a"maze"ing hike on the trails next to the NCR trail (on the South side of Paper Mill Road). The elevation gain is only about 350 ft, so nothing too steep. We will begin at the Southern most end of the NCR trail and walk just a little bit up the NCR trail where we will enter the woods into a very "maze-like" series of trails which will eventually open up next to a pond/swamp, and then a hillside trail above Loch Raven, and then deeper into the woods. We can stop at a rock outcropping and look down upon the 2 bridges on Paper Mill road (the new one and the historic one) before heading back down the fire trail and back onto the twisty bike trails that the mountain bikers have done a great job designing and maintaining. Some of them are quite twisty/turny which is a nice way to add on some mileage, and I think are very cool :-)

Friendly/socialized dogs are welcome but must be leashed. I will be bringing my 2 little doggos. There may be a bit of mud here and there but usually nothing significant. No stream crossings to worry about. Please bring water for yourself (and your dogs if bringing one).

If anyone is interested in logging on more mileage when we are done, we can loop our way through more of the trails in the woods or take an easy stroll up the NCR for a bit. We will average about 2.5mph but are in no rush. Text or call with any questions 410-487-5095
