Gunpowder Falls SP ~6 Mi loop hike(dogs welcome)

Join us on this moderate ~6-mile loop hike that spans 3 trails in the Gunpowder Falls State Park system (Sweathouse, Stocksdale, Wildlands). Elevation gain is about 630 ft. A few hills but nothing too steep. Expect plenty of rocks and roots and several stream crossings. Most of the hike is shaded and a couple miles are along a stream/river. A bit of slightly overgrown areas but mostly just stilt grass. The majority of the trail system is clear and wide.

We will aim for a decent pace of about 2.8-3.0 mph. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring plenty of water (and a snack if needed). While we will take a couple of breaks, and I don't consider this a difficult hike, please only sign up if you can keep pace for the entirety of the hike. I strongly recommend all hikers have the Alltrails app (free version works great) or another similar app.

Dogs are welcome but must be leashed and friendly with people and other dogs. Please make sure you have water for them as well.

Parking is free. There are no bathroom facilities at this location.
