What we’re about
Más que 'Hola' is a group for Spanish learners at an intermediate level or higher (B1 and up) who want to practice speaking in a structured, supportive environment.
Each meeting features:
- A 5-minute prepared talk in Spanish by a different member each time
- Group applause and encouragement
- Optional friendly feedback (only if requested)
- Follow-up group discussion and socializing (in Spanish when possible)
We’re not just here to chat — we focus on building fluency and confidence through structure, support, and thoughtful conversation.
Reverse Night:
Once a month, we flip roles: a native Spanish speaker gives a talk in English, giving everyone a chance to grow and build empathy across languages.
Who should join?
- English speakers with intermediate to advanced Spanish (B1 and up)
- Spanish speakers who enjoy helping others or want to practice English
- People who value structure, purpose, and positive community
Please note: This group is not for total beginners. We recommend starting with a beginner group before joining us.
We'll start off with a virtual (Zoom format) and then if people are interested, may switch to face-to-face / restaurant format
