Bienvenidos! Take your Spanish to the next level. You are reading this lemghty note because you love the language, your business partners speak Spanish or you feel left out on every family gathering.
Have you attended other meetup groups to improve your Spanish, only to find the conversations have become entirely predictable? You know the drill: the weather, what you are doing this weekend, how you have been...
If you are ready to take your language skills to the next level and are craving a little challenge, join me! I am a native speaker and teacher of the language, and I want to help you push past the usual casual small talk.
We will satisfy your intellectual curiosity by diving into engaging, deep conversations (in Spanish, por supuesto) about:
• Books & Literature
• Current Events (politics out, por favor!)
• Scientific Breakthroughs & AI
• History, Art, & Music
• Storytelling (sharing fun, cute personal anecdotes)
Our meeting spots will be just as dynamic as our conversations. We might meet at an interesting coffee shop (Rumi is opening soon!), head to the theater (have you seen the play Les Misérables?), gather at the Phoenix Mountain Preserve for an early 60-minute hike followed by warm coffee on a terrace, or maybe even take a salsa class together. So, while you are craving to have your intellect tickled in Spanish, you are not entirely a nerd, ¿comprendes?

To maintain the quality of our conversations, our group has only three requirements:
- Advanced speaking ability (or rapidly approaching it).
- Consistent attendance.
- A focus on relevant connections (while you could meet the love of your life here 😉, you will have more fun if you focus on making meaningful friendships and truly participating).
