Internal developer platforms are a great way to provide self-service infrastructure to developers in your organization while maintaining standard configurations and best practices for K8s applications.
One common question is: how do you get started building such a platform? Join us to learn how to use OSS tools like Backstage, Kubernetes, Pulumi and Flux for GitOps to build an internal developer platform that provisions cloud environments safely and consistently.
We’ll cover how to use IaC in languages like Python and more to define and manage Kubernetes resources and infrastructure in a repeatable, scalable format. You’ll learn to set up a GitOps pipeline with Flux to deploy resources automatically. Finally we detail how to employ Backstage for the creation of software templates, specifically tailored for Day 1 and Day 2 tasks to provide a UI to interact with the platform.
Speakers:
Engin Diri (Pulumi , Customer Experience Architect)
Kingdon Barrett (Weaveworks, OSS Engineer & Flux Maintainer)
