What we’re about
Education is the cornerstone of Masscribes, Inc. The goal of our Meetup group is to expand the New England calligraphy community by fostering the interest of new learners, while exposing people firsthand to the beauty and enjoyment of calligraphy and letter arts.
The group is for anyone with an interest in calligraphy, hand lettering, and related book arts. Beginners, artists, scrapbookers, graphic artists, type designers, journal keepers, sign makers, and others will benefit. Teachers coordinate Meetups, classes, demos, workshops and other events to provide a non-competitive and supportive environment where basic to intermediate level instruction and guidance are shared. Topics may include overviews of tools and materials as well as different hands/alphabet or lettering styles.
In addition, we will post notifications of related events in our region that may be of interest.
